Welcome to my Website.
If you are familiar with my book “Undressing Chickens”, you already know a lot about me. I was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I spent a very happy childhood with my loving parents and two sisters.
My love for animals became obvious to my family when I was about 5 years old and insisted on rescuing every dog, cat, bird, or living creature I assumed was in trouble and in need of my help. My parent’s apartment was not suitable for keeping larger animals and I had to be satisfied with a fish-tank, hamsters, and guinea pigs, which of course caused me a lot of heartache.
School was fun for me, and fortunately, I never had to stress out about my grades. After graduating from school, I worked for several years at a bank. Then I met my husband, and we decided to move to America. For details on this huge adventure and major change in my life, I refer you to my book “Undressing Chickens”.
I worked as a nurse and started writing in my spare time. I love writing and telling stories. I do not want to limit my writing to books for adults, although I already have some great ideas for another book, which will include some fiction but it will also be based in parts on historical events. It will be spellbinding and have lots of action in the story. More about that later…
I have just published a Children’s book for the ages of 7-10 years. It is a easy reading chapter book about the adventures of a litter of kittens as they are growing up and discovering and conquering the world. The book is available online, on Kindle, and in all major bookstores. I have also written a series of picture book stories, telling of a clumsy dragon and his adventures. They are waiting to be published.
